Devil Baby Passed!!! Woop, woop, I am BRCA 1 and 2 clear. What this means is I do not have genetically linked breast cancer. However, it will still but my female relatives at increased risk. Carmen has to begin breast screening at age 40. Its pancake time for her in 2 years, poor thing. I now have a cardiac consult on Monday (drat it cut into my CME time), but I am now putting myself first so I will just miss the first day of my designated study time. I am having a cardiac workup because the mass is in the left breast and my heart will be put at increased risk whenever I have radiation therapy. So wish me luck with the next phase. I will be having surgery in the next two or 3 weeks. I will let everyone know when I go under the knife. Thank god I get to keep the "girls." I was afraid their new brother would have rooted them out for good.
